The (possibly unstable) red dragonborn warden of Outpost Iron.
Personality[]
Yorfarn is incredibly manipulative. He is obsessed with information and gathering it - often from his prisoners or 'guests'. He frequently talk about how he only tortures people when he has to, in order to justify his actions. The truth is just that he prefers mental and emotional torture to physical. He is cruel and calculative, to the point where he has some measure of freedom in what he does within his outpost. This is presumably because his methods gets results.
Additionally, he seems to enjoy his routine, stable life. Rather than truly being loyal to The Raven's Order, he simply seems to prefer the stability they bring to his work.
Biography[]
Few things are known about Yorfarn's past. Though Alyndra - during her initial incarceration - initially predicted he (as a red dragonborn) may have been part of the Fireblus clan, he has stated to not have been a part any of the dragonborn clans, instead growing up in Elinstad.
Yorfarn enjoys his job as the warden of Outpost Iron. He is one of the two people responsible for the state of the mindless blind prisoners that run and guard the prison.
He was originally pleasant to the party, trying to get them to relax and give up information, but when that didn't work out, he became more and more aggressive in his methods until he showed the group that one of Penny's Season One companions - among others - had already been turned into one of his mindless servants, known only as 'The Redeemed'. He eventually ordered his underling (the other person responsible for the experiments), Vikram Preece to perform the surgery on another one of Penny's old friends in front of the party unless they answered his questions. The party gave in, sharing Driko's name. In return, The Party and Alyndra were left somewhere outside of the outpost, however Alyndra's memories of the place had been wiped with an unkown amount of enchantment put upon her. Recently, however, it is believed that Arzy's efforts were able to break these spells.
Affiliations[]
- The Raven's Order: Yorfarn works for The Raven's Order as the warden of Outpost Iron. He is presumably fairly high ranking within the organisation, and seems to have a large degree of autonomy in his role.
- Vikram Preece: Yorfarn currently has Vikram working under him - though the conditions of his employment is unknown. He is known to have worked on Vorfarn's processes in creating 'The Redeemed'.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The party were originally meant to find a dragonborn of a similar colour named Lorkax in the outpost, but they found Yorfarn instead. It is unknown if the two are related in any way.
